Turning free users into paying customers!

The best way to figure the answer to this conundrum is to look within!


Yes,how many apps and services are you paying for and why?


If you honestly answer the why part with no Bs,you have your answer!


Earlier this week i received a mail from Canva,the spam blocker put it in the 'promotion' segment but it didn't look like a promotion at all(though it was,if you look at it carefully)


While others were busy with imitating spotify 'wrapped' kind of marketing,the guys at canva together with their CSR team took a different angle in this imitating game!


Now i only use canva(the free version) ocasionally but this mail(below) shamed me into paying for a subscription!

You mean i am part of something this great?What if i become paying user and contribute more to this great work?


You see great marketing shouldn't be all push,sometimes a little pull will do the trick


CSR also shouldn't be about the company and it ticking legal & regulatory boxes,it should be about the customers keeping the business alive!


Meaning the message should shift from 'The company has done this' to 'You (our customer) has done this',catch my drift?
